CIF Releases 2022 Schedule
Three Teams Conspicuously Absent from Schedule

Champions Indoor Football (CIF), on Friday, released their 2022 season schedule.
The schedule includes 9 member teams: Omaha, Sioux City, Wichita, Salina, Wyoming, Southwest Kansas (Dodge City), Rapid City, Billings and Topeka. Conspicuously absent from the schedule are Amarillo, West Texas and the new Denver-based expansion team.
Amarillo and West Texas were to have to returned to the league in 2022 after opting out in 2021 due to COVID-19 related reasons. As of this writing, neither team has stated their intentions for the 2022 season.
A new Denver, Colorado-based team announced their intentions to play in the CIF in 2022, but, according to sources, they have not been able to secure a venue. The team intended to play at the Denver Coliseum, but that venue is currently being utilized as a local homeless shelter. The team’s current status is not currently known.
The 9 teams that will play in 2022 will each play 10 regular seasons games, which gives the regular season a total of 45 games.
